Call for Conference Abstracts: Conference on Social and Interpersonal Forgiveness

CALL FOR CONFERENCE ABSTRACTS 

Salam Institute for Peace and Justice and the University of Jordan, Amman  

Deadline to submit: October 30, 2026, at 5:00 p.m. ET.  

Salam Institute for Peace and Justice, in collaboration with the University of Jordan in Amman, is hosting a conference on social and interpersonal forgiveness research and practices on March 29–31, 2027. We invite researchers, scholars, and practitioners to submit abstracts for consideration to present at the University of Jordan campus in Amman. Each abstract should describe a completed study, present its key findings, be clearly written, and align with one or more of the conference themes listed below.

Submission deadline: October 30, 2026, at 5:00 p.m. ET 

Conference language: English 

Conference award: Authors of selected abstracts may be eligible based on the evaluation criteria.

  1. Forgiveness workbooks: Do-it-yourself interpersonal and social forgiveness 
  1. Cultural and religious perspectives on forgiveness 

Submission Requirements 

Each abstract submission must include the following components: 

  1. An abstract (maximum 500 words) describing the study’s conceptual or theoretical framework, objectives, methodology, key findings, and relevance to one or more conference themes 
  1. A clear explanation of the geographic focus and relevance of local forgiveness practices, where applicable 
  1. A brief statement of the study’s potential contribution to research, policy, practice, or community impact 
  1. All submissions and conference presentations must be in English
