Eskandar Ataallah

Eskandar Ataallah (Peace Studies and Conflict Resolution) is a Syrian peacebuilding practitioner and researcher with extensive experience working in conflict-affected settings across relief, development, and peacebuilding initiatives. His professional background includes program management, context analysis, and stakeholder engagement with both grassroots organizations and international institutions.

Eskandar is currently pursuing his doctoral studies at the Kroc Institute for International Peace Studies, University of Notre Dame. He previously earned a Master of Global Affairs in International Peace Studies from the Keough School of Global Affairs and a Bachelor’s degree in Economics from Tishreen University.

Over the past decade, he has led community development and youth empowerment projects in Syria, coordinated international research consortia on humanitarian interventions, and contributed to peacebuilding program design and implementation. His academic work focuses on the intersection of artificial intelligence and peacebuilding, examining how emerging technologies can be leveraged to prevent conflict, strengthen social cohesion, and foster inclusive peace processes.
